Live at 亚洲AV 2025-2026 SchoolBus Performance Series will Bring Whimsical Characters to Campus for Young Audiences

DUBUQUE, Iowa - From mermaids to a child who creates a new word and goats to Seussical creatures, the 亚洲AV's Live at 亚洲AV 2025-2026 SchoolBus Performance Series will bring a variety of whimsical characters to campus for young audiences.

Launched in 2014, the SchoolBus Performance Series is a daytime field trip program with professional guest artists open to all public, private, homeschool, and accredited preschool and daycare groups with students ages 4 and older. Most performances are approximately one hour and may include a question-and-answer period.

Performances complement classroom curriculum with creative and imaginative learning, critical thinking opportunities, and live performance experiences. Study guides are available to integrate performance topics into classroom activities.

Performance seat pricing is $6 to $7 per seat depending on the quantity purchased. An offer of buy 15 seats, get one free is also available. Seats are discounted by $1 if reservations are received by Monday, September 15, 2025. Please note there is a $10 handling fee associated with each order.

The Little Mermaid, Performed by The Panto Company USA

The classic tale of a little mermaid is brought to life on stage in one of the favorite productions from the internationally acclaimed Panto Company. The show follows the dreams of a young girl who believes there is a better life for her out of the water. Of course, there's a handsome prince, an evil witch, and boatloads of adventures and laughs along the way. With stunning scenery, eye-catching costumes, original songs, and loads of audience participation, this show provides audiences of all ages with the perfect theatre experience.

Nicholas Allen has plenty of ideas. When he ends up in Mrs. Granger's language arts class, he has his best idea ever. He decides to create his own word... FRINDLE! Before long, Nick's word creates a buzz in his school and his town. Then, to his surprise, it spreads all around the country, and a power struggle erupts with the strict Mrs. Granger. Will the word "Frindle" win? Based on the multiple award-winning novel by Andrew Clements, this quirky, imaginative tale about creative thought and the power of words will have young audiences inventing their own words.

Mermaid Theatre of Nova Scotia's newest production, Billy Goats Gruff and Other Tales, presents a fresh and engaging reimagining of three cherished children's stories: Goldilocks and the Three Bears, The Three Little Pigs, and The Three Billy Goats Gruff. Filled with adventure, humor, and heroism, the story follows a brave raccoon and clever mouse who are on a journey to collect treasure. Along the way, they unknowingly help the goats, bears, and pigs, preventing disaster without any of the animals ever encountering a true villain. This imaginative retelling seamlessly interweaves three classic tales into a heartwarming adventure that celebrates friendship and courage. Designed for children ages 3 to 7, Mermaid Theatre of Nova Scotia's latest production offers a captivating performance, laughter, and wonder for young audiences.

The Cat in the Hat tells the story of Horton, an elephant who discovers a speck of dust containing Whos, including Jojo, a Who child sent off to military school for thinking too many "thinks." Horton faces a double challenge-not only must he protect the Whos from a world of naysayers and dangers, but he must guard an abandoned egg, left to his care by the irresponsible Mayzie La Bird. Although Horton faces ridicule, danger, kidnapping, and a trial, the intrepid Gertrude McFuzz never loses faith in him. Ultimately, the powers of friendship, loyalty, family, and community are challenged and emerge triumphant.
